IEEE Young Professional Events
The conference committee of ISCAS 2021 has prepared technical programs and social events for young professionals and early stage researchers. This program includes invited talks, panel discussion, and mentoring sessions by experienced professionals at various levels.
The first day of Young Professional Events on Sunday May 23, 2021, the mentoring dinner will be held to bring social interaction between young professionals and experienced professionals at various levels. The experienced professionals in the field of circuits and systems will discuss relevant aspects such as entrepreneurship, career perspective in industry and academia with young professionals.
On Tuesday May 25, 2021, Invited talks about state-of-the-art circuit design and a panel discussion are planned to share a broad perspective from both industry and academia. The following mentoring luncheon will be hosted to initiate a casual talk about how to write a good proposal document and set career goals and path for young professionals.

Biography.
Chris Gwo Giun Lee is an investigator in signal processing systems for multimedia and bioinformatics. His work on analytics of algorithm concurrently with architecture, Algorithm/Architecture Co-Design (AAC), has made possible accurate and efficient computations on SoC, cloud and edge including the Digital Health area. He is currently using AI to Design AI and is also enabling accessible health and wellness via AI Humanity.
His work have contributed to 130+ original research and technical publications with invention of 50+ patents worldwide. His AAC work resulted in industry deployment of 60+ million LCD panels worldwide. Two patents were licensed by US health industry for development of analytics platform based precision medicine products (Boston, MA, June 1, 2015, GLOBE NEWSWIRE). This AAC work has been pivotal in delivering international standards, e.g. Reconfigurable Video Coding 3D extension of HEVC in MPEG.
Chris was a system architect in Philips Semiconductor and also project leader in the Silicon Valley. He was recruited to NCKU in 2003. He received his BSEE from National Taiwan University, MSEE and PH.DEE from the University of Massachusetts. Chris serves as the AE for and JSPS. He was formerly the AE for IEEE TSP IEEE and TCSVT for which he received the Best Associate Editor’s Award in 2011. He has served as the Distinguished Lecturer for IEEE CASS from 2019 ~ 2021. He was the Chair for IEEE Region 10, Industry Relations Committee, 2019 ~ 2020.

Biography.
Dr. Jinwook Oh is the tech. lead of Rebellions Inc., South Korea based AI hardware/solution startup, focusing on building AI solutions for Global Finance Market. He was an ex-IBMer who joined and left IBM TJ Watson Research Lab in 2014 and 2020, respectively, where he spent his entire professional career prior to Rebellions Inc. He worked on Deep Learning Acceleration projects with amazing colleagues and mentors during his career, conducting research/engineering of new AI hardware, algorithm and system in conjunction with conventional computing system. Dr. Oh obtained PhD degree and MS degree from Electrical Engineering department of KAST, South Korea, 2013 and 2010, respectively, and BS degree from Seoul National University in 2008.

Biography.
Dr Bah-Hwee Gwee has been working on several research projects including USA DARPA with research grant amounting to more than US$10m. He has published more than 140 technical papers, 6 patents (3 granted in USA) and 2 Start-up Companies in 2005 and 2020. He was the Chairman of IEEE-Singapore Circuits and Systems Chapter in 2005, 2006, 2013 and 2016. He was the Chairman of CASS DSP Technical Committee (2019-2020). He was the General Co-Chair of IEEE DSP 2018 and IEEE SOCC 2019. He had presented keynotes in IEEE PAINE 2020 and IEEE APCCAS 2020. He has also served as Associate Editors of several journals, including IEEE CAS Magazine (2021-2022) IEEE T-CAS II (2010-2011, 2018-2019 and 2020-2021) and IEEE T-CAS I (2012-2013). He was awarded Temasek Laboratories @ NTU Best Publication Award in 2012, NTU EEE Teaching Excellence Award in 2013 and Singapore Defence Technology Prize in 2016. He was an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer in 2009-2010 and in 2017-2018.

Biography.
Mr. Jongsup Baek currently leads Silicon Works’ MCU business as Department Leader. In this role, Mr. Baek focuses on automotive and IoT applications where he notably develops pioneering technologies requiring highest standards in functional safety and cybersecurity. Prior to his current role, Mr. Baek worked as an Innovation Technologist at the LG San Jose Lab where he worked on low power/sensor platform research & development.
Mr. Baek received a MS in Electrical Engineering from Yonsei University (1994) and a BS from Seoul National University (1992).
